Southern California is known for its magnificent mild weather and sandy beaches. The beaches are enjoyable almost year round with the exception of a couple months. Southern California is known for its Hollywood influence which includes Rodeo Drive and Hollywood Walk of Fame. Los Angeles is the largest city in Southern California with plenty of fine dining and prime shopping. There is year round outdoor activity in most areas of Southern California from surfing and volleyball at the beach to hiking and mountain biking in the hills and mountains. The beaches are spectacular from San Diego to Santa Barbara. The drive along the ocean makes for some spectacular scenery. The beaches and beach towns are also fun to explore. El Matador State Beach is a must see beach in Malibu for photography. My favorite beach towns are Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Santa Monica. The warm ocean water, groomed beaches, epic surfing, and easy parking walking distance to 5-star restaurants are reasons to visit. Most importantly, Southern California invites plenty of opportunity for capturing breathtaking nature photos.
